Feng Shui is about making sure that you locate yourself in the best possible place in your environment so that you can have the benefit of all the forces, both seen and unseen, that can benefit you.

Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Shway), is an ancient teaching developed in China over 3000 years ago. It teaches you how to balance the ‘energies’ of any space to promote your health and good fortune.Feng means wind and shui means water and in the Chinese culture wind and water are associated with good health.

Feng Shui and your new homeWhen you choose the land for your new home you should make sure that it will bring you good feng shui.

Tip 1Assess the external environment. Is it supported by the ‘Form School’ principles of good Feng Shui? Ideally you should see:(a) the black Tortoise behind you. This can be a mountain, another house, a row of trees, a building, a fence – anything that brings support at the rear. (b) the green Dragon to the left when you are standing at the doorway looking towards the road. This can be another house, tree or another fence line. (c) the Tiger to the right standing at the doorway looking towards the road. This can be a smaller home or row of trees. (d) a phoenix to the front. This is usually an open space at the front of your home with a small mountain in the distance. This can be your front garden, a park or lake. This environment will give you support and protection and a great foundation on which to build a strong life and family.

Tip 2Look at the atmosphere around the home. If there is good energy there will be rich soil and healthy trees and plants.

Tip 3Make sure that you steer clear of long narrow paths, driveways and roads leading directly to your front door or bedroom. It is also good to avoid homes that are dwarfed by the size of their neighbours home or its sharp edges. If you can’t avoid these things you should use a Ba Gua -an energy map of your home- to help reduce the consequences. I have discussed this in a previous Article. The Ba Gua will show you which areas of your home are connected to specific areas of your life. For example, in traditional feng shui, the Southeast area of your home is connected to the flow of money energy in your life.

Tip 4You should avoid buying land with a river in the back garden and be careful of where you build any swimming pool, fountain or waterfall. Although these can create a peaceful atmosphere if they are not properly positioned they can create very bad feng shui.

Tip 5Do not build your home in such a way that there is energy leakage. For example you should never have the front door directly opposite the back door as this causes good energy to leak out.

Gardening advice is abundant. You can find it in your neighbor’s yard, in a book or on the internet. These are all wells of information. There are some things you may want to consider before carving the information you receive into stone or sticking your garden spade into the ground. What works for one may not work for you. Consulting with a professional landscaper can help you to avoid many costly mistakes.

You may be planning a vegetable garden or a holiday display. You can be doing spring plantings to give your property a look that will be admired by everyone, all summer. You can be doing a fall planting that will keep greenery or brilliant autumn colors in your yard through the season. Whatever the reason for your endeavor, a lot of planning needs to be done.

I beg your pardon, did you say you were planning an elaborate rose garden. That can be quite a thorny situation if it is new to you. Roses need a special handling. Do you want knock-off roses, old favorites, nursery grown or cuttings from others in your yard? A rose garden can be a masterpiece or a disaster. It all will depend on how much you know and whether you are ready to ask a professional for advice and help. That help can come from a professional landscaping company in your area.

Professional landscapers are familiar with the quality of the soil and the way to do it properly. You need to know how much sun those roses will need. What about food? Will you need a root stimulator when you plant them? When should you plant and when should you prune? If you have the knowledge, you are in a good place. If you have questions, you are probably in a good place as well. You can always ask for help. Your neighbor may have a beautiful rose garden with soil that has been properly cared for. You may not have that in your yard.

Don’t be discouraged by your dream. Bring that dream to reality by consulting with a local landscaper to give you the advice. It does not mean that they will have to do the work, but they can lead you to the proper plants to put on your property. The advice is free. The experience is priceless. It can help you to avoid mistakes and have the garden of your dreams.

A professional can also give you advice on how to handle pests in your yard. Slugs, can be quite a problem at some times in the year. As your garden comes to life, so do the pests that survive on the beautiful things in your garden. If you are planning an organic garden for the first time, there is no better resource than the one that has been at your neighborhood nursery for years. You can be advised on what to use for fertilizer and insecticides.

Bringing new things to life in your own yard is a rewarding experience. Learning all of the little things that your victory garden needs to thrive throughout the spring season is fun. Having an herb garden outside your kitchen door will allow you to make the gourmet dishes you see on television. Having a flower garden will give you a beautiful place to enjoy the warm afternoons and evening.

Just how a person was reared as a child is likely to determine what their likes and dislikes are. If your parents did something, in many cases you will, also, and that is the case of gardening. If you were raised in a house that had a garden, you will most likely have a garden in your own home. Many individuals prefer gardening mainly because it helps them to relieve stress and relax for a little bit. You’ll find people who like to garden because they are raising their very own food and not spending a lot of money.

There tend to be many other people who don’t know anything about a garden, and gardening had no part in their early home life. In this group, quite a few actually want to have their own garden but do not know the best way to go about doing it. A great way to learn how to garden would be to subscribe to a magazine on gardening. You can even have more than one, and have them sent to your mailbox, or even online. You can find plenty of information out there, specifically if you are brand new to gardening. Gardening magazines can provide all the information you will ever need, from weekend planting projects to instructions on grafting cacti that are quite detailed.

There’s a chance you’re asking yourself which journal is best since there is so much information. Which one to choose will be based upon what started your interest in gardening. You should pick a magazine based on your basis for wanting to do it. Perhaps you recently moved into a new house, and thought a garden would improve the looks. Whatever the main goal you have for your garden, you’ll find a magazine which can help you. In the event you desire a few of your favorite herbs or vegetables, but your place is small, there are magazines specializing in small gardens. You’ll find magazines focused on organic gardening and hydroponic growing.

You’ll find many places that can help you find what you require. Exploring your local newsstand or doing a search online can help you find what you are looking for. There are many gardening magazines that come out online or in print. You will find many gardening magazine websites have archives of all their articles and issues for you to read. You can uncover different projects that you might be able to carry out yourself and learn various tips on how to garden successfully. Many experienced gardeners believe that beginning slow and cultivating your garden over time is the most effective approach. You should not move to fast and do too many things at a time or you will fail.

The initial gardening publication you look at, might have an ideal project that appeals to you. Once you get your initial project finished, who knows how many more you can find in other magazines.

You probably looked at the title and thought to yourself, “what does a garage organizer and feng shui have to do with each other?” Believe it or not, there is actually quite a nice fit between the two. A person acting as the organizer of a useful space must first recognize that feng shui has a complex and complicated cultural history going back thousands of years, and that sometimes the new age aspect of it is just going to have to be good enough for their purpose.

Feng Shui is a sort of hybrid between the art and science of human interaction with things that surround them. It is interested in how to best balance those two things. Your average garage organizer home owner may not even realize that they are in fact creating, or destroying, a feng shui environment in their garage by what they do there. Clutter, for example, is an obvious antithesis of feng shui.

Where things are placed matter, as do the colors used to decorate the environment.

At first flush, a study of this Chinese art exposes us to notions of mystical eastern enigmas. If studied casually, we may come to believe that all we have to do is just surround ourselves with certain items (things like massive fans on the wall, frogs with coins in their mouths, certain color combination’s, or eastern figurines) that our lives will somehow be imbued with everything we need to be healthy, wealthy, wise, well organized, and at peace. Unfortunately, for the garage organizer, there is no magical one-size-fits-all solution offered by feng shui. In fact, outside of a rigorous study of ancient Chinese texts and traditions, the best we can do is try to apply some of the basic notions of it to our garage spaces.

Feng Shui teaches that the whole world we live in can be separated into five kinds of elements: earth, water, metal, fire, and wood.

Each one is associated with a certain color and meaning that best suits the properties and nature of those elements, and the associated environment where they are used. A person trying to organize a garage should take these things into consideration. It is not enough, for example, to just determine that wood or metal cabinets in the garage is best. One must also learn to associate the appropriate color to use on that particular element, in that specific place. Would a metal cabinet in the garage be best painted white, or pink? If wood shelves are installed, should they be painted orange or green? How do these things interact with the other elements in the space. The nature and color of the concrete floor may indicate to the mind stability and reliability, but if you paint it a nice pastel color you will certainly get a different feeling. The idea of feng shui, as applied by the garage organizer, can also be applied to shapes, in an effort to harmonize a space. One would not, for example, create a triangle shaped storage basket when a rectangle would be better.

Remember, classic feng shui is principle-based, and that the modern American version sometimes merely suggests a quick fix approach. For many, that is good enough. Just set up a water fountain, decorate with some bamboo and viola, you have a magically peaceful place. However, to truly apply it to a garage, a garage organizer must dedicate to a study of the authentic feng shui principles.

Gardening, Use The Right Tools

Gardening is a very satisfying activity and using the right tools make the work so much easier. Benefit from the time you spend inside garden, it is among the most relaxing leisure activities.

Some sort of Garden Story

A man once visited a lovely garden. While he walked around and viewed the terrific colors and sniffed up the bliss perfumes, he bumped in the farmer. He greeted the farmer who build this phenomenal site. The man said; ” dear farmer, you and god have done a wonderful job on this beautiful piece of land. The farmer answered; “dear invitee, you are truly right, if it would not have been for the soil and also the rain and the changes of the seasons I would don?t you have been able to create this beautiful garden. But you ought to have seen this place when god had everything to himself. “

Backyard garden Tools & Equipment

The farmer never could have worked the land together with his bare hands, he required good garden tools. Often professional tools are half the project. You don’t try to put a nail in wood with a set of pliers, you would work with a hammer. The same benefits garden equipment.

There are many specialized jobs to be done in the backyard garden. Every single job needs to right unit to finish the same job. Using quality garden equipment will overcome many frustrations and will make the work so much easier.

The Garden Shed

When working on a piece of land or in a garden, having a shed makes life so much enjoyable. The shed can protect all your garden equipment from the harmful weather which could ruin your quality backyard garden materials. Also a garden shed provides a good resting place, as no one can work for eight hours in the garden, one needs to take a little rest once in a while. The shed provides the two comfort and shadow.

Sculptures & Waterfalls

Garden statues and water features increase grandeur to every garden. But choose your sculptures and water features carefully because they can easily be overdone in size. But a wonderful sculpture in an unexpected the main garden really does enhance the value of the garden.

Then the sound of water should be part of every garden. Whether it is a water party with small waterfalls, or a nice fountain the location where the sound of the mineral water can arouse the company. Any water feature will find a sublime dimension to the garden.

Gardening is such a pleasure and joy, and the achievements you will have with the wonders of the world just in ones backyard, will satisfy every human being.
